Frequently asked questions
Does Proofmark process the payment itself?
No. You collect payment however you and your client prefer (bank transfer, payment link, Wise, etc.). Proofmark records the payment state you confirm and unlocks files based on it, taking no commission.
Can the client see what they will get before paying?
Yes — that's the point. Preview deliverables (watermarked exports, staging links, low-res versions) are open, and the portal lists exactly which final files unlock after payment.
What stops a client from sharing the unlocked files?
Nothing technical — after a legitimate unlock the files are theirs, as agreed. What Proofmark guarantees is that they cannot get the finals before your unlock rules are satisfied, and that every download is logged.
What if I want to release files without payment?
You can mark a project as not requiring payment, or manually confirm at any point. The gate is your policy, applied consistently.
